I understand from reading the forums that there are other ways of getting files into Artlantis through this method which may be an option for me if I buy the programmes and still have issues. Build skills that help you compete in the new AI-powered world. Unfortunately, because I am only testing these programmes out, I have limited ability to export/import. It is ideal for programming beginners with little or no Java experience who want to set. Generally, this has worked fine apart from the odd file like ARTLPOOL11.skp which it struggles to open. When I downloaded the Artlantis, I also downloaded the sketchup plugin with it so that the Artlantis can read the skp files directly - without need to import/export etc. The original skp file (ARTLPOOL11.skp) works fine in Sketchup - no problems at all. When the Artlantis starts up it says the version is "V.4.0.16.0" I am new to both Sketchup and Artlantis so I am using the Free Sketchup8 and the evaluation version of Artlantis Render.
Re: Sketchup loading issues Sent : 13:08:24Ĭomputer: Dell Vostro 460 / Intel Core i7-2600(3.4GHz) / 8GB RAM / Windows 7 / 1GB AMD Radeon HD 6450 graphics card I'm wary about purchasing a licence if there is a glitch which means I won't be able to load a sketchup model that I've spent ages working on. I've exploded the model and ensured the faces are the right way round.Īny advice would be appreciated. My hardware spec is as it should be so I don't think it's that.
I've probably made a rookie error somewhere but I've searched the forums and online help and can't seem to find an answer. I thought I'd give an internal render a go and now I've come up with this little glitch. Preferred by many 3D artists, it is used by 95 of the top AEC firms worldwide. I have easily produced a render of a building we are about to construct without any issues. V-Ray® for SketchUp is an integral rendering solution for SketchUp, enabling designers to experience their designs in real-time as they model and take them to photorealism without leaving SketchUp. I am getting on fine with them and I'm really impressed with how intelligent and easy to use Artlantis is. I am new to both sketchup and Artlantis and am currently using the evaluation programme for both. The file with the circles refuses to load in Artlantis but the file where I have changed them to square shapes loads fine. The tool includes all kinds of modeling options.
It includes a complete tutorial that will help you to learn how to use all of the tools it offers very quickly. I have two sketchup files which are identical except in one I have the circles on the ceiling and in the other I changed them to square shapes. SketchUp Make is 3D modeling and graphic design program which allows you to easily and quickly manipulate all kinds of 3D models.
Through trial and error I noticed it came down to some circles I had placed on the ceiling (they are push/pulled and there to later represent light positions).
Occasionally the Artlantis render 4 programme I am using won't load my sketchup 8 file.
